This is a bug report for the Second Life JIRA, for an annoying problem I've been experiencing on the Second Life Havok 4 beta grid. Frequently I cannot rez groups of unlinked prims that I've previously copied into my inventory. I get an hourglass like the sim is waiting for the objects to finish rezzing, and nothing appears. Yet if I try to move through the space where I attempted to drop the objects, there's something invisible blocking my path about the size of the objects I tried to rez.
Steps shown:
1. Find an empty sim: Plum
2. Create a marker cube on the ground, so I can find the objects I intend to test. This is a huge open areas and I might forget where I tried to drop the objects.
3. Move through the air above the cube to verify the space is open before I do the test.
4. Select an unlinked multi-prim object from my inventory and drop it on top of the cube.
5. Wait a moment for object to attempt to rez (it's a pile of about seven 10m x 10m x 10m spheres) but nothing happens
6. Now try to move through the area above the cube. Note that my movement is blocked, and something is now definitely in my way.
7. If I fly up high enough I can actually stand on top of and walk around on the curving surface of this invisible object.
8. While I can select and edit the cube, I cannot select and edit any of the spheres in the mult-prim object I tried to rez
9........ if I log off and come back 20-30 minutes later the objects are now properly visible, selectable, and editable in the sim where I dropped them
