85 Gibson Les Paul Standard Gretsch 5122 Marshall Gov'nor Classic Rock

Here is a great example of a bedroom amp played at bedroom volume but still sounds big enough to get that classic rock sound. Why spend $500 on a hand wired bedroom amp. The only draw back to this amp and the champ is you can not dime it or the 6 inch speaker will fart out and the amp sounds like crap especially with a humbucker.

@JJsmission I didnt test the amp with anything other than the Gov-nor so I can't really tell you., but it seemed to take the Gov-Nor very well.

Quick question...I'm looking at some tube amps, and out of the Hot Rod Deluxe, this Gretsch and the Fender Super Champion, what's your favorite?

The hot rod is a higher wattage than the other two. It really depends on what your trying to do play at home or giging in small to medium size venues.

iwould consider the epiphone valve jr is great excellent sound the gretsch and similar champ really fart out. Also you might consider depending upon the music you play the roland micro cube.

i have a Fender Hot Rod 212 deville... has a great sound, but if i put it in volume 2, my neibours complains... so i use it when they are not sleeping, and you can use it playing live.

but i will buy this grestch because it has a very beautiful and "fat" sound, that you can play without waking up the neibours, also i will use it as a overdriven pedal with my hot rod jejejejeje

Super champ is an AMAZING amp. I would definately go with that for my practice amp. (thats what i use)
