I guess that Mr. Webb is a hero like John Kerry. The only heroes in war are the ones that died. Let's just stick too real facts when making voting decisions. I'm a Vietnam veteran too but I don't think that has alot to to about anything except that I served like million others. Neither Allen or Webb will make a difference anyway because it's money that talks.

If Allen can't deal with the realities Webb witnessed while serving in Vietnam, then Allen's lived too sheltered an existence.

Mr. Webb countered he opened up more billets to women than anyone. The truth is that webb was informed (by mccain, williams, ect) that legislation forcing the Navy to open more billets to women would be forthcoming if the action was not taken independently. Webb simply yielding to congressional pressure. Have you guys looked up his book exerpts about incest / pedophilia. How bout his anti woman record?

He's not a pervert for having witnessed behavior while serving in the military. He's not a pervert for reporting in his novels some of the more sensational things he witnessed. What's perverted is to take these comments out of the context of the novels in which they were written and urge Matt Drudge to post them, as the Allen campaign did.
