  • I hear a tad bit of a whistle... almost sounds like it's supercharged but it's clearly not. It's a nice sounding car. What kind of mods did you have to do to the transmission or did that bolt right up?

  • @Slipknotyk06 it was the bearing in the serp belt tensioner. IT quit making noise after I ran it for a bit.

  • I have an X-pipe and I was able to spring I over and get it bolted up. The 5.4 is taller and wider, but I didn't have any problems.

  • I have JBA shorties. The only thing that'll fit is JBA's or FRPP's or custon longtubes. Stock manifoplds will still fit.

  • go to mustangboards dot

  • hey, have you dyno'd your car yet?

im about to buy that intake for my 98 5.4 GT, but i would like to see some numbers forst maybe..

    thanks, Blake

  • No dyno yet. Hopefully later this summer once I get some other stuff done.

  • @horspla2000 - Never heard a tensioner make that kind of sound. Hell, I had one seize completely on the highway (on a Bonneville doing 75 no less) and it never made a sound until it threw a belt and I see the temperature gauge skyrocket while voltage died.

  • LoL, was that truck in the video the donor?

  • Cool thanks!

  • Did the JBA shorties bolt right up to the midpipe without any modifications done to the exhaust?. Because I don't want to cut it up or do anything like that if I decide to put a 5.4 in it.

  • Sounds good dude!! What type of headers did you use on the 5.4 are they shorty headers? I'm planning on doing a 5.4 swap soon on my mustang. I heard the stock headers won't fit because there too long!

  • Nice man. I think iv seen you on the mustangboards lol sounds sick. Hopefully i too will get my 00 4.6 swapped to 5.4 ?But i have a million and one questions to post still on there and find everything out lol
