Protest outside church

On Saturday February 17th a group of Bay Area Seminarians, and Theology students, stood
outside the Promised Land church at 1661 Market Street educating the community about the ill-effects of Gay Reparative Therapy.


Even though the Center for Disease Control has stated Gay Reparative Therapy(or Ex-Gay Reparative Therapy) increases the risk of suicide amongst the Gay, Lesbian and Transgender Communities, churches such as "Promised Land" still host programs that claim can cure homosexuality.
Ramone Johnson writer for About.com--http://gaylife.about.com/od/religion/i/ex_gay.htm-- says "preaching that homosexuality can be repaired actually increases
feelings of isolation" and furthers the notion that being Gay is wrong, and that those programs wreak havoc on people [lives] who participate in them.




At this point there is no scientific proof that being Gay is a mental
illness, and no organization, or mainstream health professional
supports that notion.

It's time to end the tyranny of religion.

We need a constitutional amendment

to prohibit the public display of religious symbols

and the broadcasting of religious propaganda

and the aggressive promotion of religion

Live and let live. Get the dirt out of your eye before you ridicule your brother. He who is without sin throw the first stone. Judge not or yea will be judged. Do Christ's work, feed the poor, help your fellow man ,help aged and helpless orphans, work to protect our environment. If gays bother you odds are you are a latent homosexual deal with your own latent unconscious desires. This is psychological fact those with the most passionate compulsion over an issue are the thing they despise.
