My Tribute for Elvis with a beautiful song from Whitney Houston.
Whitney`s mother, Cissy Houston was a gospel and soul singer who led a successful career as a backup singer for Elvis Presley, Mahalia Jackson and Aretha Franklin.
`We will always love you Elvis`

`Nothing really affected me until Elvis.` John Lennon spoke for millions when he uttered these words.
The shy young man raised in grinding poverty paid a few dollars to make his first recording in July 1953.
A year went by before he got a proper audition, and that was going nowhere fast until he tore into a rendition of `That`s All Right.` The King had finally found his domain in rock`n`roll and nothing would ever be the same again.

  • I made one today and sent to u, Annemaree. MISS U!!!

  • LOVE THIS ANNEMAREE

  • difference between dolly's and whitney's version was , dolly's version was more meaningful and told an story,at the time, but whitney's was powerful, and it took some time to get there. but if elvis were to sing it , wowiee, would i bee falling over heels ;D i'll be all shooked up.

  • @BoomerProduction96 after that, that's when it passed on to whitney, i'm guessing this was found from what elvis was gonna do with it. at first they were having second thoughts, about if whitney had the voice for it or not, but she did have it all along.

  • even tho, i prefere dolly's written version of the song, this is an nice tribute to elvis.....;D

and we will always love you, elvis.. and that's what matter's here. before their was elvis, there was nothing....

  • @BoomerProduction96 that's what i'm hearing, but that was dolly's version at the time, dolly was okay with him wanting to sing it, but the problem was "sharing the copyrights signoff" to elvis records, that's when dolly refused. it's on wikipedia....i saw it on dolly's. even tho dolly's version is the first, and the original singer, i prefer her to sing it..... i would of loved to see elvis sing that song thu ;D
