Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum; chairman of Top Rank, Fernando Beltran, Mexicos top promoter; The Honorable Jorge Ramos, Mayor of Tijuana; and Oscar Escobedo, Baja California Secretary of Tourism, hosted a no-holds-barred media conference call to address U.S. media reports and stories on the crime and safety in Tijuana. On March 28, Top Rank is promoting Latin Fury 8, featuring four of Mexicos biggest names in boxing -- undefeated Top-Five super welterweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr.; WBC super featherweight champion Humberto Soto, WBO junior bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel and two-time WBC lightweight champion Jose Luis Castillo. Top Rank will produce and distribute the event live on pay-per-view from the 21,000-seat Plaza de Toros Monumental bullring in Tijuana, Mexico.
