great exercise... too bad it cuts off so sharp!

@ProfessorMystic I see...the relaxation part is good because it doesn't ignore areas of tension that some other relaxation/meditations ignore, like the eyebrows, tongue, etc. I used to go to biofeedback sessions, which is where I first learned the health and psychological benefits of relaxation exercises like these.

What I do not get with the guided progressive muscle relaxation videos is the graphic stuff played. Not that the spiral tiedye looking graphics or even nature scenes in these type video are not good it's that they seem a diversion to someone like me who gets caught up in viewing when I feel I should or would better benefit from doing these techniques with my eyse closed. Does anyone else feel like that, maybe more emphases on calming music and voice guidance and less of cool graphics.

@PleaseCallmeDan yes it is better to close your eyes for the best result. the visual is just added for something to look at, which may have been a mistake. On the tape it tells you to close your eyes anyway.

I like this, but if you'd done this just a bit slower, it'd be perfect. It's hard to rush into relaxation, LOL. Other than that, this is really nice.

@silverojo i totally agree. when this was over i didnt want to wake up from the trance i was feeling. it needs to be longer, but it had effect on me so it was pretty good.

@colomboelectro92 On my front page you can get a playlist where there is an hour straight of uninterrupted hypnosis. This part is supposed to lead into other parts but at the time YouTube was only allowing me to upload 10 minutes or less at one time so I tried to do my best to find the right point to stop, but it was hard. Computers have their limitations.

@silverojo Thanks for the comment. This was originally the opening part of a tape called Improve Your Self Image from Bob Griswold. I used to listen to it after I was already in bed ready to go to sleep. The idea is to get relaxed first and then you go on to the other parts where he gives you affirmations and other things. Unfortunately YouTube did not allow me to put up a 25 minute video so I decided to break it up and make this into a "relaxation". It is also ideal to have eyes closed.
