Search for Obe Leininger's lost gold vein. Leininger found a vein of gold in a ledge of granite. He buried his pick in a tree to mark the spot, and was never able to find it again! It is said to be near Deer Creek - between Calf Creek and Potato Patch campground.

Actually - I'm not positive that's a banana slug - it was the closest thing I could find in wikipedia. But yes, you can touch those ;)
