  • But i learned a lot from all of it, i gave myself the challenge to read the entire Bible because i had never read it all before, now i've read almost all of it, except for a part in Ezekiel where the CD was scratched and i couldnt listen to it.

But my favorites are the Book of Job, The Book of Proverbs and Book of Psalms, i also love all four of the Gospels, Matthew,Mark, Luke and John, and the entire Book of Revelations, its very awe inspiring to hear it all for the first time.

  • the audio CD's would be great, especilly if the readers voice was good...like orson wells...im looking foward to the new testement too.

  • I don't know if you've gotten this before, but I'll state my thoughts on the best book that makes a case for evolution. For the non-evo biologist (the layperson), I don't know the best book. I would probably start with "Origin of the Species" and go from there. For evo biologists, there isn't one. The best evidence is in the hundreds of thousands of studies and research papers written confirming the strength of the theory. There is no complete collection of knowledge for evolution.

  • after the quest is over ill post a video asking you tubers to vote on one...i understand that theres many but for obvious reasons,i cant read them all...i will read the one that is voted upon, that users think makes the best case for evolution.

  • Done! I shall partake with you in this challenge, stonedcommander! Funny enough, I graduated from Catholic High School in 2007, and haven't done this yet. And even funnier, I'm going to a Richard Dawkins book signing lol. But I don't know how relevant/funny it is.... the Bible and any evolutionary books are not necessarily incompatible with each other.

  • excellent...look forward to your input...at the book signing ask him to autograph a banana and say your name is ray.........

  • Quite honestly, one of the books that is among the very best of arguments for validating the findings and continued pursuits of the sciences of geology, the paleo though molecular biology's, archeology, astronomy/cosmology, nearly any scientific field that ends in a "y", most of which are closely integrated with evolutionary theory, my favorite book in support for all of it,

    is Genesis.

  • Woah, calm down fella. As Phil said, he's only making the abrasive bet because he wants Stoney to finish. Coming from philhellenes, those are words of encouragement. In fact, I consider it a testament to Stoneys integrity and sincerity that he's managed to get so many high profile atheists to take interest in his idea. This could never have been accomplished by someone like yokeup, VFX or theanswersofnwo3. Stoney is a true bridge builder. I think that's awesome!

  • Reading the bible with common sense made my Athiesm grow. Thanks moses!

  • I took the challenge last year as i said months ago, this video made me read the entire Bible, that was a good thing too, not just to be a Christian but to read The Bible all the way through and understand things better.

  • You have got to be the biggest fucking moron on the planet. I saw your rant about atheists and here is the answer. You have to understand the concepts of the universe ( gravity & evolution) before you decide to shit all over them. Planets are round because of the nature of gravitational forces. Good luck trying to figure that out because I don't think you could comprehend it if you had 100 lifetimes.

  • I subscribed not so very long ago and missed this video before, now I get why you are posting these videos and I applaud your idea.

This proves you are definitely open minded and anything but hateful towards people that think differently then yourself.

I will try to catch up as soon as possible, you might want to make a playlist including this as the first video if you didnt already.

  • Good video Douglas oddly enough before i even watched your video i started listening to the entire Holy Bible on audio CD, it took me over 2 and a half months to listen to all of it but i finally finished the Bible, i started in the Book of Genesis and then went to the New Testiment and listened to it.

After i got through with the New Testiment i resumed the Old Testiment and it took me forever to get all the way through it, because the Old Testiment is much longer and has more pages in it.
