Amazing Grace was written from the heart of a man who was truely , as the song says, "once lost". John Newton lived a wild life. The son of a slave trader, he was orphaned at an early age. He later followed in his father's footsteps and became a slave trader himself. His upbringing caused him to question his life and eventually he became an ordained minister. In 1772 He wrote Amazing Grace, its been recorded buy over three thousand artists and to this day Amazing Grace is considered one of the most recognized hymns ever penned. Its my honor to play it for you and for Him.
In case you're wondering about the backup guitar; I record it live at the beginning verse of the song using a Boss RC-20 loop station. After the first verse I play back the chords for the second and third verse and the instrumental then kick it off at the end of the song to finish with live chords.
It's a realy good song, Sir. Thanks for sharing it !
