Consumer Christians kill churches! A consumer Christian is one that takes resources‚ time, money, emotional investment and don't ever give back. A Christian should give of their time, money, and heart to help a hurting and dying world. For the entire sermon visit http://www.marshillchurch.org/media/doctrine/church-god-sends

  • @311tflying The truth or untruth of his statements is not what I commented on. READ my comment again, sloooowly. My point is that the pulpit is a HOLY place. Where the MIND of God as revealed in the WORD of God is taught by the pastor or teacher.

"He is speaking TO YOU" My giving or not giving is not your concern, for you to meddle and make assumptions about that concerning anyone is foolish.

  • @JCMySoulsBoast Ok, question for you? Is what he said true? Absolutely... There are far too many Christians who take and give back NOTHING. I know because I have been one. If his statements on this video have made you uneasy, that's a good thing. He is speaking TO YOU.

  • I actually thought this was about consumerism. No connection whatsoever.

  • by reading his book Doctrine:What Christians Should Believe, i am confident that a lot of the misunderstandings and misgivings towards Mark would disappear. It's a tough job what he does...and God gave it to him. Bless you Mark.

  • Lol @ constant variable

  • You now how sometimes something makes you a bit uneasy and just seems wrong....well thats how I feel about this man's "preaching and teaching". My Pastor has NEVER used the pulpit to talk about his own personal opinions, the state of the church, Big name or small name preachers, evangelist, even those we are directly associated with unless they have a message of blessing or thanks for us. He has never discussed the state of the nation or whatever. It has been the Bible Word and Way of our Lord.

  • love when he says hes not here casue its all right he says hes here casue hes needed

  • This reminds me of a tale once told to me some years ago (read-John 16:2) Jesus came up to a church and found a man sitting on the church steps crying and asked him what was the matter? The man replied they won't let me in here. Jesus then replied back to the man tearfully saying they won't let me in hear either. What ever happened to preaching under the unction of the Holy Spirit and letting him declare what is or isn't of God.(read-John 16: 13-15) also, 1st Corinthians 2:4-5

  • Are some of you posters stupid?!! He's not talking about asking for money he's talking about mature christians giving; of their time, energy, themselves and yes financially. why not? Its called comittment. How anyone can read this as "asking for money" is intellectually stunted or doesn't listen whilst their watching the screen. Sheesh!!!

  • "if you're taking all the resources that would allow us to go out and get people that don't know Jesus yet." First, if the Christians aren't giving enough, it is an aspect of their life they obviously need to work on. That's their business. Either way, they're right where they need to be: at church, learning to better give. Second, if having resources to use for the people OUT THERE is so important...what about the people THERE, sitting, listening to your sermon?
