No, Pepcon was an Ammonium Perchlorate factory. AP is the oxidizer used in the SSRBs. It has nothing to do with "jet fuel."

i hate the added sound effects, its so frustrating seeing these documentaries, because they aren't showing the real thing, just what people WANT to see. the explosion happens in silence from that distance, and once the shock wave hits you, you also hear the enormous explosion.

Sound happened too quickly after the blast, should have been after the shockwave hits. (shockwave=faster than sound)

@valiumsummer actually they process jet fuel for nasa which nasa owns their property rights so if there fuel is exploding, then its a nasa jet fuel explosion. just wanna put that out their before u make a silly.

@usnsquirrel So by your logic, the pencil company supplying my kids elementary school blows up I can say "Jefferson Elementary school pencil plant Explosion...news at 11" I'm not denying that Pepcon suppled NASA, its misleading however to label this a "NASA" explosion.
