Dr. Arfat's technique of septoplasty without nasal packing

One of the most feared things about nasal surgeries is post operative nasal packing. Nasal packs are placed routinely after septoplasty to prevent bleeding and a collection of blood between septal flaps (septal hematoma). They cause discomfort while in place and a pain on placement (if surgery is not being done under general anesthesia) and on removal. Some surgeons don't pack the nose in selected clean surgeries. I have done 2 modifications in the standard technique that allow me to do all my septoplasties and SMRs without nasal packs. I do that both under local and general anesthesia. The patients can breathe through the nose just after surgery.

@ZzlundagardZz the procedure is not painful ....but obviously it is a surgery video! when done under general anesthesia u just wake up without even knowing that a surgery has been performed. u can watch videos on nasal pack removal to compare surgery with nasal packing vs no packing septoplasty.

Why not quilting sutures ? you don't need to put splint in that case.

@khalidmahida quilting sutures with self resorbable material is a very good option. i do that in selected casses where splints are not required. however putting sutures over the splints is more effective and saves time while performing surgery under local anesthesia as pressure is evenly distributed throughout the septum by just 2 sutures. it works all the times.

A.O.A.first ov all i thanx 2 ALLAH ALMIGHTY nd after that to Dr,ARFAT,who did my septoplasty,sa well as bleeding is concern there was a few bleeding during operation and after operation jst little bit bleeding which i beared,but listen,,, grls face more blood than this quantity of blood every month,hahah.s0 dn't be hesitate guyz,i personally think that DR.ARFAT's technique and his way of treatment is outstanding and very friendly s0 keep it up sir,wish u bst ov luck GOD bless u,4rm.mubashir.bwp.
