@doodlesanc14 kids are like dogs in that not matter how badly you treat them and put them down and push them around, theyre always coming back to you trying to make you proud looking for your love approval affection. ect. thats just like jack and his dad, jack was the kid/dog looking for his dad/masters love and approval.

One of the best emotional scenes of Season 1, you can feel the pain in Jack when Sawyer is talking...also shows what type of man Sawyer really is telling the story to Jack knowing that it will heal him in some way...
