Scott Hall was a wrestling superstar in the early 1990s, his immensely popular character the "Scarface"-like Razor Ramon. Later, he was one of the faces of the faction dubbed the New World Order. Now, at age 52, Hall has a pacemaker and takes about a dozen pills daily to deal with anxiety and pain. He's been arrested several times since his final stint with WWE in 2002 and has publically discussed his struggles with drugs and alcohol.
@NxDragon76 I think the key phrase you used is "would have been". I'm not saying he wasn't a name, just in the start of the show they say he was one the biggest, if not the biggest start of the late nineties. Pretty laughable statement when people like Austin were around at that time.

@djwmaxwell Untrue. IF Scott Hall would have stayed in the WWF, Vince himself has said, he would have been the WWF Heavyweight champion within a year or so. When he went to WCW and had the HUGE salary and ZERO accountability for his actions and behavior, (because he has a guaranteed contract), he fell hard into what until that time was a problem, but a not nearly as serious a problem. Once he did not have any consequences for his actions, he lost ALL self control.

It always so sad to see these talented men throw it all away because of their addictions

@lou4brew But that's because he was on the card of people like Hogan. He was an upper-middle card wrestler. I'm not saying he wasn't great, but to say he was maybe the biggest star of the late 90's is pretty much a false statement no matter how you look at it. Just the program makers trying to dramatize their story.

@djwmaxwell Depends how you quantify it. No, Hall wasn't as big within the industry as Andre or Hulk. But when you talk about number of households reached, income, size of venues ect it's comparable.

"In the late 90's Scott Hall was as big maybe bigger than any of them" Err...no he wasn't. Sorry, it's just not true.

The wrestling business is a crocked one its money and when people around you are taking dope what do you think will happen. Its important to realize that if your life is ruled by the physical world then that's what end result will be.
The wrestling business is a fast life kind of thing they spend more than 300 days out of a year working. In some way all of them are a little unstable but that's including football players etc
