BTW - "fly rings around most people" is a really poor attitude to take about it. Overconfident, unprofessional, cocky. Being able to fly your aircraft well does NOT make you a SMART pilot. (and no, you DON"T have to wear a uniform to be one)

Nice flying man! I'm starting my instrument next week. It's been a full year since I got my private so I'm nervous and excited all over again. At what point did your instructor tell you it was okay to raise the foggles? Have you found a job yet?

The thing I noticed was he wasn't developing full power at take off (only 22 rpm) because his engine wasn't correctly leaned.

We actually raise the foggles at minimums. And yes i found a job... I came back to my home country, Brazil. First i flew seneca II, for about 6 months. Afterwards I flew the cessna caravan and the EMB 121. And now i have been flying the B737 - 300 for 8 months now. I am loving it.
