No offense, but this review was all wrong. I guess Black Nerd was kind of accurate, but the Action Flick Chick was horribly mistaken. Sure the movie wasn't exactly like the video game, but who would want to see hours of a stout Italian man punching blocks. The movie is about Mario and Luigi rescuing a Daisy from Koopa. That is the main point of most of the Mario games, so I think this movie was great, and if you would just put aside the fact that the movie wasn't like the video game, you would

Are you kidding? One of the first scenes is an action scene. Princess Daisy's mom abandons Daisy at St. Teresa's church, and navigates her way back to the gateway, and gets crushed in a sewer where the evil King Koopa is lurking around, waiting for her in the dark.

I remeber being a kid thinking, wow, they had freedom to do anything, i mean Mario had enough to base something on, but was basic enough you could build on it. yet some how did enough to make it unlikeable by the kids who played mario, but then didnt do anything worth while to bring in the non-fan so it cud act as a bridging movie, bringing possibl fans to franchise... definition of market failure
