Pearl Jam - Given to Fly - San Francisco, Live, Outside Lands Festival Friday 8-28-09 HD, 4th row at the Polo Fields at Golden Gate Park. One of my favorite Pearl Jam songs.. I actually had a VIP ticket for the show, but the General Admission area was closer to the stage and standing spots were easily available if you got there for the early shows. Autolux, Incubus and the Silversun Pickups played on the same stage.


Other highlights include:

Eddie Vedder recalling how the Polo Fields bring back a lot of memories, as 15 years ago, he was supposed to play here, but the day before he got food poisoning, and had to cancel his performance. Luckily, however, his friend Neil Young stepped in to fill his shoes. And for that, he is forever grateful to him for saving the show and for putting himself out there in front of a potentially hostile crowd. Yep, I remember that concert all too well. :P

This was a great show! I was there. Given to fly is my favorite song. However, I saw P J in Los Angeles on 10-07-09 and that show was simply amazing!
