Released Nov. 8, 1941. John McGrew was doing Jones' layouts by now. Gene Fleury has great background shades here. "Calling Barranca" refers to the Barranca Airways plane in Howard Hawks' "Only Angels Have Wings" (1939). 'The Year of Jubilo' is the tune played when the hitchhiker appears. 6:35 - the horse smirk is pure Jones.
Oops! I'm not allowed to watch this. It's Looney Tunes.

The featured horse was also seen in Jones' "Porky's Prize Pony" (1941) and "The Draft Horse" (1942). The little guy with the big mustache trying to thumb a ride was later seen as the "hungry customer" in "Porky's Cafe" (1942).

November 8th? Like my birthday, only 47 years older? How cute.

The last pack of WB cartoons in 1941 were really lame.
