I'm 26 and I was really nervous before getting them. It took me a while to feel confident about them especially with speaking but you just have to keep reminding yourself that it is going to be worth it in the end. I do my video logs because before I got my braces I too watched other peoples vlogs and they helped me a lot. You will be fine, it's not that big of a deal.

Correction - I do not have the Damon. I just have the regular type of braces.

How old are you? I'm 22 and I'm getting them on soon. I'm definitely feeling very nervous. I appreciate you making videos and reaching out to people. I don't know if you feel nervous or bad about having them on but I certainly will, does it help calm your nerves getting your emotions out on a camera? I'd love to do a video log of my own story.

I am 19 and I just got braces and I get them off when I'm 21. I feel really self-concious with them. Thank you for making your videos I think they help everyone that's older feel a little better about having braces.

So glad I can help someone! =) It's really not even as big of a deal as we think it is. It took me a few months to feel okay talking to people because I felt like a dork but eventually I got used to it.
