  • Spoke to Simon recently...they did an acoustic set for Cherry Red Records...search on Youtube for Cherry Red Records you'll find this

  • @Nyquest I can't find it, send us a link?

  • I heard this on Absolute 80s, tonight..........and it brought back so many happy teenage memories. Where are they now? These great one-offs have so much nostalgic value to people for different reasons but I wonder how much the band know how very much they have left their mark?

  • @Hattersism New album not long been released, reboxmusic . net

  • I listened to this in my car on the way back home from the hospital where my wonderful wife had just presented me with a beautiful baby daughter. That was the most moving night of my life. She looked the most perfect little thing in the world...and twenty five years later she still does.

  • Is it that current music lacks meaningful melody? Where is the melody in hip hop or RnB shit?

  • I heard this in solidarity w the striking miners in 85. I think it should be the song for all the Occupy movements around.

  • See this is proper pop music without interference from simon cowell or louis walsh. Todays pop stars should write their own stuff and not take the easy way out by doing covers of old tunes.

  • I remember watching this video back in 85 and had it on a VHS compilation in the mid 90's. Cheaply made as it was I found and still find the video really good

  • Thanks to Ken Bruce playing this on Radio 2 earlier today I have had this song stuck in my head ALL day!...................

  • I still have this on 7" vinyl somewhere!

  • IMO the 80's were the best for music..

  • What a great duo their records certainly got your legs moving, I still love listening to them.

  • @thewelly1973 But the 80s was still full of the most serious music you'll find anywhere. Hardly anyone tried to be 'cool'-but all one had to do was listen to their songs. Most subject matter was covered & it all changed from 1 year to another, Duran exposing the 'Skin Trade, OMD singing Enola Gay & Genetic Engineering, Kirsty MacColl covering the dodgy side of Germany in 'Berlin', Kim Wilde detailing the first whore in the Bible in 'House Of Salome' (no-not Madonna!) & Indians losing their land.

  • Loved this so much. The Circle and the Square was my first album (a cassette haha) when I was 9 or 10 years old and I loved it even though it was a bit weird.

  • Great song, very anthemic for a Friday
