why would you do that with such strong winds

It is bad if you leave the break on for sure. I highline with the pulleys still in though just take off the break it is not rated that high

Ok, do you only have one line across, or do you have two doubled up? Also, what is the reason for taking out the pulley system? When I set up highlines, I always leave it in? Is that bad?

I didn't have time to take out the pulley system, so in addition to my leash, i had a belay setup on an independent anchor.
