On my last day I realised I still hadn't had any sushi, and there were no unplanned meals left, so we went to this new sushi place for tea. The little conveyor belt carrying plates of sushi etc past your table is pretty common-place, but the thing that prompted me to whip out my camera was the second "high-speed" conveyor built above the lower one, mimicking the train-line lay-out in (Higashi) Fukuyama with the Shinkansen line raised above the regular train lines.
Customers can order specific items from a touch screen by their table, and they will arrive by a Shinkansen shaped conveyor a minute or two later...there's no extra charge for this. Still 100 yen (about 70p) per plate.
