This is a view off the Main Avenue bridge, one of only two connecting points still open between neighboring cities Fargo and Moorhead... it was taken at roughly 1:00pm CST Thursday 26 March 2009. The river is expected to rise 2 feet above the level seen in this video. The river currently rests at 40.8 feet, surpassing the all-time record high by 0.7 feet, and is 1.23 feet above the 1997 crest.

  • To give everyone perspective, the river is usually less than 150 feet across at this point. In this video, water is some 24 feet above "normal" water levels. That's enough to submerge houses, and it has.
