The primary expertise of the last 3 presidents was an ability to conduct ruthless mass murders, plunder the wealth of foreign nations, secretly sell narcotics to Americans by CIA and launder cash payments through Fortune 500 fronts.

Their degrees were gifts, not earned the way that common people must earn a university degree to square their heads.

Does Chomsky touch on any points in the book by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, Black Swan. Perhaps many of these externalities are the uncertainities/risks that create these Black Swan phenomenons? (I haven't read the book but I do have an idea what it is about. It's going on my read-to-do list next month!)

Economists are a sort of priest of a market religion. They are graduated on finding a way to blame any goverenment for everithing and congratulating the market for everithing.

They then redifine things that have a historical meaning a completely diferent way, in order to distroce the reallity and confirm their docmatic belifs.

I guess the main problem with them is ignoring the colateral consequences of exchange and the role of the means in the society and in the individual.

Is this a joke? Are you seriously suggesting that the only people qualified to "render opinions on economics or international politics" are people receiving "top secret daily reports" from American intelligence agencies?

I suppose this means that, prior to the Invasion of Iraq, George W. Bush was really the only individual qualified to have an opinion on the imminent invasion then?

The truth is a private Banking Cartel runs the U S Economy; it's called the Federal Reserve Sytem! It is not federal and has no reserves at all. It prints money out of thin air!
