Teen Recovers From Car Crash

COURTENAY - As any parent will tell you, their worst fear is getting a knock on the door in the middle of the night with police at the door. Your child has just been in a serious car crash.

For one Comox Valley family, that nightmare was reality three months ago.

17 year old Hayley Doberstein was badly hurt and in a coma after her car went off the road and crashed.

Her family was told there was a chance she would not survive, and that if she did, she could be paralyzed or brain damaged.

But Hayley fought to recover and is back home tonight with her family.
