Innocent; fourteen

Nick's POV

I opened my eyes turning towards Selena, but she wasn't there. I could see flashing lights and I quickly put my hand across my eyes.

"Hello son can you hear me?"

"Selena." I whispered.

"We'll get your girlfriend out now, we need to get you out first." I shook my head violently.

"No no no I want you to get her out first." I pleaded to him with my eyes, letting him know I wasn't budging until she was safe. He waved in a rescue team and they began cutting Sel out.

"Son we just need to check you over, we won't take you out." I nodded my head as another paramedic rushed over flashing a light in my eyes and feeling around me. "Nothing seems broken right now but I'm putting a neck brace on."

My eyes widened. "Do I really need one of them?" I didn't want Selena to see me in such a low state, not the way a man should be.

"Yes you do, it's protocol." I huffed in the seat as he placed the neck brace around my neck. I turned slightly to see they had removed Selena. "Okay you're next."

The next time I opened my eyes all I saw was a bright light. I put my hand across my face, blocking it out. "Oh sweetie you're awake." I turned my head to see my mom at my bedside.

"Am I at the hospital?" She nodded her head as I looked around the room and saw my Dad and older brother Kevin standing at the other side. "Where's Selena?" I asked my voice suddenly cracking.

My mom looked over to my Dad and he nodded his head. This cannot be good. "Honey Selena is um, she's in a coma." I stared at her in shock. "What?" She nodded placing her hand in mine. "They don't know when she'll wake up or...if she will wake up." I didn't say a word, just sat there staring at nothing in particular. "I wanna see her." I said finally sitting up and pushing myself from the bed.

"Nick honey I don't think that's good for you, to be getting out of bed." I shrugged off her hands.

"I'm not leaving her on her own Mom."

As I sat looking at her so many things were running through my mind. I needed her to be okay. I wouldn't be okay if she wasn't.

The door opened and Miley walked through with Liam, her latest guy. "Hey Nick, why don't you sleep?" I shook my head. I had to be here when she opened her eyes. She would open her eyes. She nodded understanding why I wouldn't and sat down, pulling out Selena's favourite book and reading it to her. The doctor says she may be able to hear us so talking to her can help.

Miley and Liam left me alone to go get some coffee, which I needed dearly. I held her hand in mine, trying to think of what to say to her.

I looked down at her beautiful face, eyes closed. My heart broke and I felt my eyes watering. I hadn't cried since I was younger and to be honest I didn't care who saw me.

"Selena baby, please wake up."

Whoa well it's been ages since I wrote....feel bad about that...BUT I am back :D
So hopefully I get comments on this cause if I only get two from the people that ALWAYS comment I'm just not gonna bother anymore...:(
