I did it on my karate exam at Virtus Karate Association (Hungary). It was one of the requirements for the third kyu. Unfortunately I got a shorter nunchaku so it slipped out of my hands, but I hope it doesn't look awful...

  • Interesting. 20 (or 30, or 60...) push-ups are the part of the exam, too. Are push-ups part of the Wado-ryu? Or they're just stealed from an other sport?

OK, I understand if you're saying this is not part of wado. But this is the only thing that is different from the basical requirements. We don't do Ballett exercises, nor high-jump:)

  • Thank you.

  • I understood it even for the first time.

    I see your point.

But I will not change the title - It's nunchaku kata and it is the part of a WADO-RYU exam; but I could insert a semicolon, if you're a good boy.

  • This was interesting to see.

    Respect.

  • Pontosan! Ki vagy? : )

alunotorre: eleinte nekem is furcsa volt, de inkább érdekességként vesszük, a kara és a te szavak még ismerősek : )

  • Jamie Affro on chucks!

  • Ahoy.

Virtus Karate Egyesület, és Hamza Zsolt :)

  • Nocsak, egy magyar wado-s :) De ez a nunchaku dolog nekem is fura. Ki a tanárod és melyik szervezethez tartoztok, ha megkérdezhetem?

  • if u didnt understand the difference in essense of wado and kobudo or aikido then,27 years are wasted...sorry...

  • wado mix with kobudo is like mix wado with forms of eagle claw kung fu!it will not be wado!kobudo and wado = different way of thinking and move!and no,diska8 its not a fraud, its ok guy :-)

  • How can this be classed as a fraud?? if you consider that ALL karate has inherited techniques and katas from other styles, Ive been training in Wado-Ryu for 27 years, saying point blank that Kobudo is not in wado is ridiculous im afraid, all styles evolve and delve into other styles, as did i as a teenager and studied the kama and Bo, the bo coming from Aikido, but we also have Aikido in Wado, i think the point should be that the kata shown was NOT sokon kata.
