I think its time for another piece from the Soul Calibur series. This time, Ephemeral Dream from SCIII. This song has EPIC written all over it. Just listen to how it opens. All I gotta say is FUCKING AWESOME!!!

Anyways, this song plays on Setsuka's Stage in the game, a place called the Jurakudai Villa. Oh and i had to look up the word Ephemeral which apparently means 'short-lived' and 'transitory.' Interesting. I'll let you draw your conclusions from that.

Enjoy!

  • ISSEN!

  • @gabedamien you don't hear me arguing that notion whatsoever, Kobayashi is a beast. He also produced Ace Combat: Assault Horizon's soundtrack too. The man is gold, easily one of my top five composers of all time. And this song still moves me to this day, it is such a sad and solemn piece, my comment I made almost a year ago still rings true for me today. I am very seldom truly moved by a piece of music, but this is one of those that did it for me.

  • Setsuka is damaged and broken, yet she is deadly and precise, this song and her stuck in my head for years.

  • its relaxing but you know you are still fighting :D curious soundtrack ;)

  • This piece is so awesome, and I didn’t even play SC III. So I looked up the soundtrack and saw that different composers did different tracks; ED was written by Keiki Kobayashi. A search for that name also pulled up another fave of mine, Ace Combat 4; not only did Kobayashi write some of those tracks, but they were the BEST tracks of that OST (Blockade, Operation Bunker Shot, Megalith). Clearly this person has a ton of talent!

  • i like sleeping to this music so peaceful

  • This is one of those tracks where you actually are genuinely moved by it, even the first time I heard this beautiful piece of music, I just felt the sadness eminating from it. I still do actually. You truly feel for Setsuka when you get to her stage with this piece playing, you feel it all, her anger, sadness, and hatred of Mitsurugi, the man who took what she loved away from her. Simply a beautiful and heart-wrenching piece of music. One of the best, if not THE best in the Soul Calibur series.

  • lol

  • I know what u mean. My dad sleeps to this every time I play it.

  • one of the best in the soul series. my personal fav :)
