  • I've seen this live. Really neat. You can't see it in the video, but there is a castle up on a hill that the pumpkins hit. Fun stuff.

  • i watched some ofit being built,, he is building an air cannon now,, i have pictures of the wheels. a master with a torch an stick welder.

  • That beast has got to be at least 3 stories tall without the arm!

  • damn that thing sounded like it was going to collapse but its a good machine

  • The wheels actually improve the physics of how it operates; the rocking helps it throw smoother. It it had laid flat on the ground, you'd see a slight performance drop.

    ~ I built a smaller trebuchet that throws 1 lb foam "rocks"

  • judgeing from the wheels (i'd say 10ft dia). and being fired in NH..... If my calculations are correct, that pumpkin is orbiting over Africa about now!!!! lol, nice trebuchet!!!

  • the best trebuchet i have ever sceen.

  • our world record is 1702 feet. but the castle is only 500 feet from thr front of the machine.

  • to answer all the questions, the castle is 1700 feet , the pumpkins are going into the woods behind, over 2000 ft total
