I've seen this live. Really neat. You can't see it in the video, but there is a castle up on a hill that the pumpkins hit. Fun stuff.

i watched some ofit being built,, he is building an air cannon now,, i have pictures of the wheels. a master with a torch an stick welder.

The wheels actually improve the physics of how it operates; the rocking helps it throw smoother. It it had laid flat on the ground, you'd see a slight performance drop.

~ I built a smaller trebuchet that throws 1 lb foam "rocks"

judgeing from the wheels (i'd say 10ft dia). and being fired in NH..... If my calculations are correct, that pumpkin is orbiting over Africa about now!!!! lol, nice trebuchet!!!

our world record is 1702 feet. but the castle is only 500 feet from thr front of the machine.

to answer all the questions, the castle is 1700 feet , the pumpkins are going into the woods behind, over 2000 ft total
