Anti-Pop Consortium's 'Volcano' is the sound of a group not only at their urgent, exploratory best, but also one which knows their funk. Glitchy, squelchy and driving, the tune comes on like the bastard offspring of Rick James and Aphex Twin, imagined as only APC can. And as ever, M. Sayyid, Beans and High Priest spit science, but the kind of science which makes the beat bump even harder.
'Volcano' is taken from the new APC album 'Fluorescent Black' out 29th September 2009.
