Dit soort bekrompen reactie toont al aan waarom Sint-Damiaan een Katholiek was, net zoals E.H. Daens, en géén linkse nihilist. Louter en alleen de christelijke beschaving brengt mensenliefde en beschaving. De socialistische en liberale ideeën hebben de wereld grondig vergiftigd door hun op haat en afgunst geënte ideologie te verspreiden tegen de gezonde, ware samenleving in.
