The lamprey is an invasive species that has taken over the Great Lakes. These eel-like creatures latch onto fish with their mouths, sucking out the fish's body fluids. These parasites turned predators have caused the extinction of three types of whitefish. The Weiming Li lab, at Michigan State University, is determined to find a cost effective way of managing lamprey!
