The Front Mission: Series Translation Project is proud to present the first episode of the Front Mission video series project...as of today December 29, 2010! To quickly sum it up, the video series is a project that reveals the complete Front Mission saga as told through all Front Mission media (video games, books, film, etc.). This project was done to accommodate inquiries about the Front Mission storyline, which is actually not told through its video games alone as some would believe it. In actuality, Front Mission is essentially a TV serial drama in that various media are used to tell the complete story.

Without further ado, here is the first episode of Season One: Zero - The Globalized World! The episode synopsis can be found here:

Or you can read the following (this is also is narrated later in the episode):

In the early 21st century, a phenomenon known as globalization swept the world. Facing a global recession and other worldwide crises, many nations set aside their differences and formed large regional entities known as supranational unions. The European Union formed in 1993, was renamed the European Community (E.C.) in 2005 when all nations of Europe joined the bloc. In 2015, the Commonwealth of Independent States united to form the Republic of Zaftra. In 2020, the countries of North America and South America band together to create the United States of the New Continent (U.S.N.). The nations of Southeast Asia, Australia, and Oceania form the Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.) in 2026. The countries of Africa unite under the Organization of African Consolidation (O.A.C.) four years later in 2030. Nation-states became a relic of the past as less countries were willing to face the world's crises alone.

In this brave new world, conflicts became less frequent, economies prospered, quality of life improved, and peace in long-troubled regions was finally achieved. However, this dream would not last long as the scars of war would show the world that mankind never learned from its mistakes...
