I just know that they can try & kill us all of, but they can't kill us all. They don't have the last say so in death & the future.

Weapons have no equality of what mother nature can do...the sun is "growing" and becoming more "violent", creating harsher weather and possible EMP scenarios...volcanoes can go at any time wiping out nearbye life and creating 'nuclear winter'...water is always a threat to bordering towns...u crybabies who whine that humanity will wipe out the Earth are needless; go throw urselves off a bridge and let the rest of the world live quietly without ur crying.

Anyone who says,"nwo will take over & we are doomed" are probably part of the nwo. nwo knows the power that beliefs can have on a person or a society and want to convince others they will succeed and they want you to believe you are helpless. I truly do believe nwo will fail. I suggest evryone adopt the same belief.

A relevant question is not so much when will the technological singilarity occur but where.
If it occurs centered around silicon valley then the theme of the singilarity may well be mainly altrustic
If it occurs centered around DARPA and the Industrial and Military Complex then It's probably safe to say we're fucked.

@funkalunatic you overate these new technologies. there aint no cyber men on the battle field. there aint no exoskeleton body armor on the field with giant mounted guns. do take in mind that the m16 with a much more advanced internal mechanism than the AK47 yet the m16 is still less reliable, not as versatile and is fucking expensive.
and no matter how powerful the citizens can get, the cops and army are MUCH stronger.

Your consciousness is basically a collection of neurons and electricity. So all you do is take pills (containing nanomachines, supplied by the government) to supply nanomachines to your brain. They will regulate the electricity and will follow whatever instructions you give them. So basically if you wanted to tell them to increase your perception time, they'll do that and seconds will seem like hours to us. It sounds bizarre now but it will become our lives.

People have had the capability for a long time... but day to day, nothing ever happens. It seem to me, people have been getting happier and happier as they need less and less of an economy. The nation will never tumble into some free-falling decline... in fact I live in the mid/downtown area of a large city, and there's a pepper plant with bright red peppers that nobody has picked from... and there are lots of homeless people around.
Everything is fine... one big happy family. It'll average.

I picture that, if one were to build a robot with a functioning brain equal to that of a human's, then the only recourse is to give them a temporary lifespan like ours. If they were truly immortal then they would doubtlessly rebel against the only thing that could potentially bring them death: us. It is the fear of living a temporal lifespan that enables emotions in human beings, if we lost that, then we would become almost robotically stoic.
Assuming these future threats are plausible, either we're doomed or the total-surveillance police state is inevitable to prevent these sort of disasters, or they will happen by accident anyway, so that will just make things uncomfortable before we meet our doom..

Yes. That's why I think we should get into space soon.

this video operates under the false premise that civilization is humanity and vice-versa.
therefore the whole thing is basically hooey.

That's not my premise at all, but humanity begat civilization, and the future of humanity is linked to the future of civilization.
If you think that civilization doesn't have a tightening stranglehold on people's perceptions and sentiments, and therefore humanity itself, then you should watch some more of my videos, but I think you actually do know that.
