Audi S4 vs Audi S3 1.8T - Standing Start

Standing Start up to 200 km/h. S4 gets away before the S3, but fries the clutch a bit on launching, hence the odd-sounding 1st-2nd shift. S3 really HOPS off the line!

The 8L S3 in question is making 140-odd kW (about 190 bhp) ATW, so it's a bit down on the 2.0T's power output.. the performance stacks up pretty accurately when one takes into account the power outputs and power/weight ratio's.

The S3 is quite quick for a hot hatch but that's it. The S4 V8 is a different thing all together, proper car. And if you put them both in the 3rd at 60 the S4 would vanish into the distance so fast you wouldn't see it.

Well, it was a predicted... It's a S4.

It's almost a impossible for a Stock S3 to beat a S4.

Good video though, the S4 engine sound is unbelievable.

nice. interesting how the S3 doesn't keep up quite so well as the A4 2.0T in the other videos.. I would of thought the S3 would keep better with an S4 than a 2.0T (as both cars are modded judging by your video comments) :)
