I love how if you look at his videos, most of them aren't even over 1,000 views. But say "Merry Christmas" and you soar to 67,000 views. He must be doing something right. Good work Rigell, good work...

@chemprofmatt ---- not relevant in any case. I'm an atheist and I have no problem with congressmen using the franking privilege to send "Merry Christmas" tidings out to their district. Big Gd deal! We atheists are clearly a smal minority and always will be and we pay a clear minority of the taxes --- so expect that Christians and Jews and others will want to have their greetings sent out by franking privilege, too. Looks to me like they pay for it in their taxes.

In contrast to the fools and idiots that have responded negatively, I am glad that Rep. Rigell took the initiative to push the envelope and stand up for the freedom of expression which , while others can mock his message, I applaud his willingness to stand up for the right of every American, by example, despite the restriction that were imposed on him . Thank you Scott Rigell for being a "TRUE" American. If only all the other members of congress thought as clearly as you.

@SuperKnighttempler Bravo Super Knighttempler, could not have said it better myself. You and I both know that it's a war we're fighting. A war against "THOSE" in that politically correct crowd who despise good cheer and fun and JESUS!. I think it's like the Wizard of Oz, say enough "HAIL MARY'S" and "PRAISE JESUS'S" and they begin to melt.

It is very refreshing to see someone , especially a member of congress take on the poloticaly correct crowd a spread the message of good cheer. It would have been even better if he had the back bone to mention that it was Christ's birthday that we are celebrating.

The hallmark of Christianity is praying for your enemies and turning the other cheek. You do have a vileness about your language and manner that indicates you have no "high ground" from which to teach me about my Lord. He died for you as well as me but I believe in relationship, not religion. He tells me that you are in a lot of pain. I will pray for you.

@teacheroftruth You know what else you should learn ? The tenants of christianity, which I believe frown upon those who lie. Rigell is lying and you all know it but again, in contravention to Jesus's teachings, many of you have taken this as an opportunity to spew hate at those you disagree with and yet pretend to hold some kind of moral high ground. That level of hypocrisy doesn't deserve a Sunday-go-to-meeting level of decorum. It requires brutal honesty. you are an asshole !

There is a 37 year old rule that says you can't use your franking privilege to send religious greetings. That means that Representative Rigell materially MIS-represented the issue in order to draw support and donations. If he is lying about this, and he is, then what else is he lying about ?
