@holmansmashbros ours does :), maybe you got a lemon.

@holmansmashbros Look, used Rs are also newer so that'd explain the price difference. BMWs aren't high on the reliability scale either. The electrics go out. And at only 4K miles my friend's 335i had to get all it's fuel injectors replaced. And BMW parts are even more expensive to fix than Volvo parts. Both are imported cars so they will have a higher cost for parts. And I can guarantee you that an E39 will not last a lifetime without haveing major problems.

@AdrianC12345 safety? true but the r is a performance car none the less. and also used r's in good shape run 20k. and after my dad having an r for 170000k miles i think he should have gotten the bmw. lets see....trannie broke (7k$), various other shit (electrical 10K$). and it was maintained well. a well maintained e39 will last a lifetime and for it's price, its much better. volvos don't last anymore like the old 700s

@holmansmashbros Anyways, most Volvo buyer's minds aren't on pure speed, because then they'd be BMW buyers. Safety is where Volvo makes its money and reputation.
-
@holmansmashbros That's a USED one.
-
@AdrianC12345 the e39 m5 can be had for 20k and is way faster than the s60r by the way.

@holmansmashbros (continued) changing Volvo into copies of chinese cars. And he also said that he'd like to make a Volvo S-Class competetor. The board of directors will stay intact so that means that it's STILL Volvo engineering.
-
@holmansmashbros Uhh, no duh the M5 is faster, it costs 85 thousand dollars. The old S60R only cost around 40K. They're doing an R-Design that gives you better handeling. And so what if it's a chinese OWNER NOT DESIGNERS. How'd you like to know that the new owner, said that he actually would like to make the interiors of Volvos MORE premium feeling than the exsisting models. At least give him a chance, he already admitted that he knows he can make more money off of Volvo as it is rahter than
After 2000 track day miles, 2 sets of brake pads, 4 sets of tires, 2 sets of sway bar rods, the car drove as well as the day I bought it after 33K very hard miles. Never an issue until I got back to the US, then the dealers robbed me for sensors and misc BS. Like hooking up to a comp cost $120 just to see what up....After my experience with bs artist in Sacramento dealership, I said FU to them and the volvo brand as well.
Too be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if BMW wasn't any different...

ok, just for the record, this is my vid.... I had this car for about 5 years. It was a blast to drive on the track. I ruled most cars at tracks against amateur drivers in 911's/M3's and sometimes purpose built track cars. My car was a daily driver. In this vid, I had suspension work and full exhaust, plus two piece rotors up front because the stocks couldn't handle the abuse. Engine was stock with only an intake installed.
