Some bikes drag racing up Olds at Glamis. The 3 wheeler that took off like a bat out of hell is me on my 1986 ATC 250r with the usual mods (pipe, carb, rad valve, porting). The other two 3 wheelers are both 1985 250R's. The quad with the cameraman on it is a 2005 Honda TRX450r that is all bone stock. The other quad is a 1986 TRX250r.

This vid is kind of old and was kind of lost in the middle of another vid I already have online that was just a really long raw footage clip. Shot with a GoPro HD in 1080p mode.

  • Im not an expert with clutches but every time you shift do you have to pull in the clutch or do you only use it went goin from neutral to 1st?

  • @superdutyfreak You don't have to use it but your clutch will last longer if you do.

  • so i take it the 86 has some mods lol but im curious what are they?

  • @TheKeggs17 Ported, rad valve, paul turner hi-rev pipe, k&n air filter with no lid, 38mm carb. That's about it. Nothing crazy. No big bore or long rod. No ignition mods.

  • @Dammit250r what kind of port work? stage 1, 2, or 3? u have a build thread on 3ww?

  • @TheKeggs17 You can find it by searching for El Diablo on 3ww. Don't know what "stage" it is. The porting was done by PR Racing Engines way back in the 80's. They were called Power Rider back then. Located in Toledo, Ohio.

  • did the trx450r have knobbies on? Because if it didn't, those climbs were super weak...haha

  • man the 2 stroke smoked that 450r but as long as there hondas dont matter to me and perferablie atc 250rs

  • @Dammit250r Actually...if you pull the clutch every time you tend to ease out on the throttle a little, or dump the clutch after a shift, i think that would cause more wear. Although...its different in the dunes than riding logging roads..

  • @Dammit250r Cool,Power Rider were the one who ported/polished my 1986 200x

I still have the receipts for the work done back then from them.

  • 450r goes crying home

  • man i wish i owned a atc 250r..

  • 2:03 lol the evel is with in the r

  • also i take it you not Matt lopez right? he talked me into gettin an R. I;m buying it off Kurt if you know him. All part of 3wheeler world
