  • @sickhawkz1 Mhm ... no. They do wai kru to show respect to the Buddha, their master(s), and to, according to our beliefs, clean all bad luck out of the ring. After the wai kru is done, only "skills" of the two fighters are in the ring.

    They dont do wai kru to ask for protections from their masters or any help to get them win in the fight.

  • @ProveYourFaith It is actually just stretching. Also, ancient Thai boxers used to believe that when they "Wai kru", their masters will protect them and lead them to winning. Have you ever heard of Power Balance Bracelet? Same idea. When you believe in something, it will actually happens.
