So I've been seeing some videos of Compiz's headtracking plugin. However, it's very hard for a human with two arms to get stable footage of this thing (as I discovered while recording this). So I decided to give it a spin and get the plugin on my computer, and was satisfied with the result. So I installed it on the laptop, and it worked fine as well.

  • Great Video, Compiz is amazing! Can't wait to set this up and get it working.

Out of curiosity, what is the music?

  • @1ThunderBird2 It's written in the video, silly; Pendulum - Propane Nightmares

(Quite an overused song these days)

  • @Psythik That would require porting X.org to Windows, which isn't going to happen.

    Just use Linux~

  • @gone404 While it is true that this song is getting overused on YouTube and, as a result, disliked, I personally wouldn't call it "shitty". If you disagree, you're free to mute the volume.

  • Will this work on 11.10?

  • Helo! I'd like to use this Compiz Plugin, but I don't know... How can I install and use this plugin? please help! :( =)

  • one of the most amazing Compiz vids I've ever seen...

    that's awesome!

  • pure pwnage!!!

  • Compiz just gets more amazing and more so creepier with every new plugin they think of.

  • @Psythik That's just not going to happen.

  • @serjndestroy Yes, but I can say at least that it's either not the case or it falls back to non-accelerated for Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere. That, or maybe VirtualBox's "Enable 3D acceleration" and "Enable 2D additions" options actually work at last.

  • @WindyPower Unless the video editing uses DirectX (witch doesn't get accelerated in VM's unless I'm mistaken)

But other than that viva virtualization :)
