  • I want to make a b.c. one!!!

  • The lack of modular play would be a big downfall for my play group as we tend to create our own maps, or just make random maps.

  • Thanks for your review series, I'm loving them! It's really helping me get an idea of what all these board games would be like.

  • My only concern is the lack of randomness. Unlike previous versions, this version doesn't allow players to randomly assign numbers to hexes.

I do hope future Geography series will allow players to assign numbers.

  • You could if you wanted to go to the trouble. Same for stuff like the River of Catan. You could cut out some paper and put it over tiles to represent river and use other things for gold coins and bridges. Or you could just buy the premade pieces.

  • Thanks for this review. I was debating whether or not to purchase this game last weekend and I think this made me have a more informed decision because I was unsure of what this really brought to the catan series. I am still not sure if I will get it, but at least I know what it is.

  • P.S. Thank you for this (and every other) review!

  • Question: would it be possible to play this using the original SoC, using the possible additions?

1)A sheet containing the new rules necessary and the preset tile layout.

2)A sheet of cardboard tokens to place at the intersections where players can build towns/monuments.

Aside from players using their Cities to represent the monuments, I don't think this would be a problem.

Although this editon looks beautiful, I question the value of it.

  • Thanks for the review! Seems like a nice standalone version of the Settlers. Question is, will there be any Catan Geographies game for 6 players?
