Klaus on 'Absolutely Inadequate' Czech court ruling over Lisbon

With no one else present, Czech President Vaclav Klaus on Tuesday put his signature under the Lisbon Treaty on the future of the European Union. Klaus was the last European leader to sign off on the treaty that will, among others, create position known informally as 'European president' and 'European foreign minister.'

European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said, in a message read to journalists in Brussels, that he hopes there now will be no further obstacles to the treaty, and that it can enter into force on the first of January 2010.

Barroso was not immediately able to comment directly because he was a one plan heading for Washington together with Fredrik Reinfeldt, Prime Minister of of Sweden, for a EU-US summit that also will include US President Barack Obama. Distributed by Tubemogul.

He is a clown. It is his way to manipulate people in the Czech Republic so they would think how good he is taking care of them in the EU. Of course he signed. He never planned not to sign. I am ashamed to have a president like himself. He can't even govern his own country (the corruption still happening is unbelievable); but he is very fast in telling others what to do. Not everyone in the Czech Republic shares his ideas based mostly on his own ego.

britain is not scared of europe. the government is. 70% of brits want out of the EU. that is why we are never given a vote on anything. However, when and if we get a conservative government we might be able to at least start leaving the god forsaken thing. We like Europe. We have no problems with the rest of europe becoming one country or what ever it wants to do. We just don't want to be part of it.

not true, britian was always scared of a unified europe because that would mean that britian had less power. example? unification of germany, thacther was strongly oppossing the unificatino of germany even though USA, USSR and even France said it should be. (then again thacther was kinda crazy :p)
