Steady B was part of the wave of rappers who helped put Philadelphia on the Hip-Hop map during the late 80s and early 90s, such as DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, Cool C, Schooly D, Larry Larr, and Three Times Dope. He released five albums between 1986 and 1991. Steady mixed well-written metaphors and wordplay with generic, yet catchy, drum tracks. His hits include, 'Use Me, 'Nasty Girls', 'Going Steady', and 'Bring the Beat Back'. He was a close associate of fellow Philly rapper Cool C.
Steady B's musical career was relatively short-lived, and he is currently serving a life sentence in a Pennsylvania state prison for his role in the murder of a Philadelphia Police officer during a failed bank robbery in January 1996.
You can Clearly see... They were low budget at this point. Only thing next was to get a regular job or return to school...OR commit crimes...I guess they chose the latter.

Hip-Hop in it's infancy, when using drugs wasn't cool only thing cool was rhyming after school and schooling rap fools on wax. No lil Wayne a.k.a lil dope fiend
