http://www.wm.com Waste Management launches first Rotopress collection trailers to North America, innovative technology to provide greater operational flexibility and reduce trips, fuel use, greenhouse gas emissions and improved maintenance costs.
uhhhhhh its ok if its in the Europe, but in the US sorry i want Amreps,Wittkes ect. not this the only way i would like these dumping my trash is the chassis has to be a White,WhiteGMC Xpeditor or Peterbilt 310,320 only way i would excepet this truck dumping my carts
Flexibility of decoupled assets, fewer emissions, less moving parts, no dangerous blade, fuel savings........How about a horse and buggy set-up with a big WM sticker on it? You think i'm kidding?......a horse and buggy can get down an unplowed alley in Milwaukee better that a single-axle tractor.
Why give up automation for payload? Do you want three guys on one non-compaction truck? Heil's tractor-trailer system (Star) would give them the "de-coupled asset" advantage without adding people and work comp claims to the equation. And since when was cleaning out from behind the blade a bigger chore than manually dumping a thousand carts? By the way, you'll be needing some class A drivers to pull those trailers.
WOW !! I nerver thought I would have seen a ROTOPRESS in the USA looks unusual but nice combination anyway, great vid would love to see more of this truck in action.

Maybe a idea for the Amish community.
Take your horse and carriage and earn some money with it.
Don't take a German horse, you have to call it Heinz instead of Heil, cause some people get some bad connections with it.

In Europe it's normal that rear loader trucks have 3 operators, no matter what kind of rearloader.
The RotoPress a non compaction system?
The RotoPress first shreds then mix and when the drum is totally filled it starts to compress with the big auger you can see in the tailgate.
You can love it or hate it, its the world first good working compacting system and exist for already 80 years.
Watch the KuKa 215 films and see how the older Roto's crushes everything without a problem.

Nice combination, RotoPress on an American "Mercedes Benz" truck. (Freightliner is an American part of the Daimler Benz group)
Is the RotoPress going to be build in the U.S. or is it shipped in from Germany?
In the past some KuKa Roto's in the U.S. were build by the American company Orbie under licence.
By the way, the older 215 model RotoPress handles bulky waste without any problems.
