I've heard a few pianists play this work closer to Dominique's tempo than it's normally played. I know that she has the technique to play it faster, so unless she's sight-reading it, I'm assuming that she's playing it at this tempo because she wants to, and of course, that's her privilege as a performer.

This is a geautiful rendition of this Prelude- I am reminded of Ivo Pogorelich's performance at the 1980 Chopin Competition, in which he played the 23rd Prelude in such a tempo. It brings out the beauty of this piece. Traditionally, it has been played faster, but one wonders the 23rd Prelude was what Chopin had in mind when he commented it made him sad to hear pianists play pieces much slower or faster than he had intended.

I like your technique and expression: you might want to work on the tempo a little, as this prelude is generally played faster.
