  • You Guys Are Quite The Douches Eh?

Of Course A 1 Watt Laser Diode Would Burn That Quick, Jesus Christ... Man 200mW Laser Diodes Can Burn Straight Through Plastics, Give This Guy A Break And Do Research Before You Give Someone Crap Like This...

    Nice Video Dude,

    Good Demonstration : )

  • whoa thats crazy

  • @slicksqueegie See where the light at the tip gets kinda wavy at times when he is cutting? that's smoke... He actually designed his pen to perform an actual task, not like the overpowered lasers that burn an make tons of smoke in the process. The Fibre Optic line he is channeling the laser through actually keeps the beam in such a fine point. Basically what I am saying is, If his lines were bigger, there would be more smoke.

  • why is it so many people totaly underestimate the power of lasers, while so many others think that they will go through anything like butter? where are all the normal people, or at least a few who have read ANYTHING about lasers, who know that they can do a lot but aren't portable wall demolishers? thats a cool concept, now if only you could make one like that outa an old computer dvd drive.

  • Where is the smoke? anytime I see a laser cut wood I see smoke! Where is it....

    Shenanigans!

  • That's a cool use of a laser beam, etching, engraving, those are both perfect, since you can control the focus of the lasers burn point using lens, lasers and lens form an hourglass for lack of a better term, in the middle where they meet is the point of the burn.

  • @GeoMiP well, output isn't enough information alone. its all about the beam diameter. a 50mW laser with a 5mm beam diameter (2.54mW/(mm^2)) won't do jack shit. but a 50mW laser with a 3mm diameter beam actually has (7.08mW/(mm^2)). My 1.5 WATT 445nm laser has a beam diameter of 5mm =76.41mW/(mm^2).

Therefore BURNING POWER IS A FUNCTION OF BOTH BEAM DIAMETER AND LIGHT OUTPUT. not just light output as you partially proved. btw a photon of 445nm light is 30% stronger than a photon of 532nm light.

  • @NnintendoGamer4911 Alert@Pyro! Might one day burn his families houses down.

  • TOOL!!!!!! <3

  • tool plays in the background... nice laser!

  • 46&2

  • @someone11110 it's 1 Watt. For what you're getting, that's pretty cheap.
