  • David Bowie, incredible artist.

I hope I never meet him, it might shatter the illusion.

  • We can be heroes;)

I love David Bowie, but in this case, I think it doesn't matter Bow or Bowie or if Alison Moyet take the mic.

Bowie is the sweetest guy in the world also kind and stylish and on Live Aid he not tried to be a primary star, in the foreground was the idea of helping children.

  • Brilliant, and thanks for putting it up.

  • @kamull61 don't think it will he looks genuine

  • This was the day I became Bowie-fan....love this one.....but now I`m still Bowie-fan....he`s unbelivebale

  • Bowie looks beautiful here. just gorgeous!!

  • Most folks pronounce The Gentleman's last name as BOW-ie, Bow to rhyme with glow (and he's so gorgeous he does glow) or bow as in archery equipment, but a Londoner would say BOW-ie as in BOW and curtsey -- like if your name is MARtin in England, then, if you moved to france, everyone would call you MarTAN

  • F*ck me.. pulling something like this off. It's totally unbelievable. I doubt that it can be done again with the corporate slave climate we have today but I sincerily hope that there will be someone that can pick up where these guys left off.

What really breaks my heart is that even with events like this, that truly moved the world, not a thing has changed. Not a thing.

  • I've always pronounced it as Bow-ee ya know, like how he does himself, but really it doesn't matter. David himself has said before that it didn't really matter how it was pronounced, because people have said it both ways.

Lol I love it how Allison Moyet is all happy and excited about sharing the mic with Bowie, because she acts like how lots of fans of his would act, including myself. I dunno I just think that is awesome:)

  • When you consider that Bowie's name is derived from the American knife, a not so subtle tip of the hat to his buddy Jagger, then the pronunciation would be the American pronunciation in my Canadian mind but I suppose that he wouldn't be able to shrug off the English pronunciation without abandoning his roots.
