Materials Needed,
-1 rope
-1 pair of scissors

He didnt cut the rope, he had another small rope which he cut. then he bends 2 ropes but only shows the tip of them, when he says he's going to start over, he unbends the larger one, and throws on the ground the smaller one.

notice he supposedly cuts the middle of the rope. however if you look at the bottom one side is longer then the other that is because he isn't cutting the middle of the rope he switches the middle of the rope for another part of the rope (you can see when the switch takes place if you watch the rope get shorter as he places it in his hand at around 0:30) it's hard to spot but at the end of 0:47 he discards something off screen (the end of the rope he cut)
